Founder and chairman Paul Matson along with trustee Trevor Fishburn traveled to the RHS Tatten Park flowershow to support an amazing gardening creation in the name of the charity.
Hull 4 Heroes gardening consultant Dave ‘The Viking’ Leigh created a garden named the Veterans Village in the ‘Blooming Boarders’ catagory of the RHS Tatten Park Flower Show to promote Hull 4 Heroes and our Veterans Village project. Dave and his team took a prestigious Silver-Gilt RHS medal coming only three points short of a Gold.
Any award from the RHS is a highly respected horticultural accomplishment and to be awarded a Silver-Gilt is simply an incredible achivement for both Dave and his team which included: Suzie Valkyrie, Wendy Cooper, Colin Baker and Jax Sparrow for building the fantastic bug house.
Dave created this garden over a period of months with the majority of the plants being grown by himself from seed. Everyone at Hull 4 Heroes would like to extend a huge congratulations and thank you for your outstanding contribution.
