Family Resilience and wellness circles

Our Family Resilience and Wellness Circles project supports families of physically and mentally wounded, injured, and sick veterans through a blend of emotional, practical, and wellbeing-focused activities. Funded by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust and running over 18 months, the project combines in-person and online support to ensure accessibility for families across the UK.

At its core is our dedicated Support Team, who provide personalised guidance, emotional support, and practical advice to help families navigate the challenges of caring for a WIS veteran.

Families will have the chance to take part in quarterly wellness retreats in partnership with Woodland Xperiences CIC, held at venues in North Yorkshire and the Lake District. These retreats include yoga, meditation, cold-water therapy, art and craft sessions, nature walks, and peer support groups through our GEO and LISA programmes.

To help families build resilience, we offer online and in-person training covering mindfulness, emotional regulation, communication skills, and creative writing for wellbeing.

We also host community-based family and veteran activities, including coffee mornings, creative workshops, and therapy dog sessions—encouraging connection, understanding, and shared healing.
